Key factor for the improvement of architectural education
José Manuel Aladro Prieto
“It would be key to ensure that the concepts of sustainability and heritage were integrated, in a real and effective way, in a cross-cutting manner in the development of curricula. They should become a “sensibility” that permeates the architect’s training, not just another content to be added to the training curriculum. Moreover, both concepts should not be conceived independently but interrelated. From the understanding of heritage as an attitude towards the reality on which the architect intervenes. A reality that is cultural and natural and in which sustainability is therefore not something complementary but intrinsic.”
