Castles of Industry. Restoration, Reintegration, Utilization.
Panhellenic Conference on Architecture, 12-14 May 2022, Thessaloniki, Greece
The Panhellenic Conference on Architecture “Castles of Industry. Restoration, Reintegration, Utilization.” was held between the 12th and 14th of May 2022, in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted in a restored warehouse building at the city’s port. The issues discussed in the conference involved the cultural heritage value and the potential management of old industrial buildings in Greece, through the perspective of social, educational, technical, legislation parameters etc. The conference was followed by the opening of an exhibition of awarded projects and selected student projects on the restoration, reintegration and utilization of industrial heritage, at the Sculpture Garden on the Costal Promenade of Thessaloniki. The exhibition will be displayed from the 15th of May until the 15th of June 2022.
