Iuav Academics Abroad

An “analogous city” for Venice

Iuav Academics Abroad is a Network of Alumni Iuav who hold an academic position abroad. A community that shares roots, methods, experiences and foundation words as multicultural bridges to link Venice and the world. This book presents city portraits and visions displayed through the lenses of the Iuav educational philosophy. An “analogous city” for Venice – quoting Aldo Rossi, one of Iuav Masters – is the collection of those fragments, linked by the role of Venice as a kaleidoscope on contemporary reality and of Università Iuav di Venezia as a School.
